Our Story
A legendary revival

HONG KONG NOODLES
HISTORY
The Nankin Cafe was a beloved Chinese and American restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, known for its long history and unique atmosphere. It operated from 1919 to 1999, becoming a Minneapolis landmark.
Hong Kong Noodles is a beloved local staple offering generous portions of Cantonese-style comfort food at budget-friendly prices. It operated from 2004 to 2024. Not only favored by students at the University of Minnesota but also attracts visitors of the entire Twin Cities.
We are the lineage of Nankin Cafe and Hong Kong Noodle. We have inherited the spirit of providing quality and delicious food.
